Performance

The Kia Soul includes three trim engine options, with the base LX trim coming outfitted with a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that manages 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. While certainly comfortable for tight city streets, drivers looking for a more powerful engine option can look to an available 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine. The available 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine boasts 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The Soul is also available in an EV variant, which is an all-electric version. The Kia Soul EV is powered by a 64-kWh liquid-cooled battery that manages 201 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque. The base 2.0-liter inline-4 engine comes outfitted with a six-speed automatic transmission while the 1.6-liter is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission. Front-wheel drive is the only drivetrain configuration available with the new Kia Soul.

Interior & Exterior Features

Moving to the interior of the new Kia Soul, drivers can look forward to a standard seven-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™ connectivity, cloth-trimmed seats, and air conditioning. Notable available interior features include dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, heated front seats, and keyless entry. The top-trim levels of the new Kia Soul offer up notable interior features like a head-up display, flashing speaker lights, and a host of driver assistance features.

Exterior features available with the Kia Soul are greatly limited when compared to interior features available with the Kia Soul. The GT-Line features the most exterior features, adding in red accents, a unique wheel design scheme, and front/rear fascias.
